Learn How to Fly Commercial Planes
Try The Pilot Place's commercial pilot flight program. Our team of trained pilots has over 25 years of experience when it comes to teaching people how to fly. For a single-engine commercial rating, a person who applies for a commercial pilot certificate must log at least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot. This program offers the following:
- 100 hours in powered aircraft - 50 hours of which in airplanes
- 100 hours of pilot-in-command time - 50 hours of which in airplanes
- 50 hours of cross-country time - 10 hours of which in airplanes
- 20 hours of training - including 10 hours of instrument, 10 hours of complex or TTA, and a smattering of cross-country and practical test preparation
- 10 hours of solo training - including a smattering of cross-country and night flying
In order to pass the commercial flight program, individuals will need to complete the following:
- Pass a knowledge test (written)
- Pass a practical test (flight)
